We met years before we reconnected, shortly before Covid.


Covid was terrible in so many ways… yet it was the event that brought Ryan and I together. Ryan and I were faced with trying to date during Covid. We didn’t have the typical dinner & drinks first date. Instead, our first date was at the Lake Elmo Park Reserve for a hike & a beer on the tailgate of his truck! Thankfully we both love the outdoors because for the next six months, that’s where we got to know each other.


In February of 2021, we bought a lot of land in Wisconsin and started the process of clearing & building our home. In February of 2022, we moved in and started make our house a home. 


In March of 2024, Ryan proposed on a ski trip in Whitefish, MT. He carried the ring around with him for two days (one of the days we snowmobiled through the mountains…) and by day three he didn’t want responsibility for it any longer so on our second run down the hill, he stopped to “fix his boot” and surprised me by getting down on one knee in the middle of the slopes!


Ryan and I are so different (He’s DIY and I’m BUY) yet we balance each other out in ways that make us better versions of ourselves. We’re excited for our future and the happiness, opportunities and challenges it will bring.
